Summary
Step into this Graduate Financial Analyst role and build something that matters in Financial Services.
Financial services firms across Scotland are under pressure to report faster, forecast smarter and keep pace with regulation that shifts every year. This growing SME needs a Graduate Financial Analyst who can sit inside that pressure and make sense of it. You won't be shuffling paperwork. You'll be producing numbers people actually use.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Building and maintaining financial models to support forecasting and budgeting decisions
Preparing monthly management accounts and variance reports for senior stakeholders
Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies before they become problems
Supporting the wider finance team with regulatory reporting and audit preparation
Analysing financial data to spot trends and flag risks early
Assisting with process improvements as the business scales
Here are the skills you'll need:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
Strong Excel skills. Confidence with formulas, pivot tables and basic modelling
An analytical mind that questions numbers rather than just accepting them
Clear written and verbal communication, since you'll explain figures to non-finance colleagues
Willingness to study towards a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA or similar)
Organisational discipline. Deadlines in finance don't move
Key perks and benefits:
Salary of £24,500 to £29,000, depending on experience
Private medical insurance and pension contribution
Generous annual leave with flexible working built around office hours
Structured professional development, including support towards accountancy qualifications
Office-based role in Glasgow, working alongside an experienced finance team
Why pursue a career in Financial Services?
Glasgow has quietly become one of the UK's strongest financial services hubs outside London, with established firms and growing SMEs both hiring for talent. A Graduate Financial Analyst role gives you a foundation that opens doors into audit, treasury, investment analysis or corporate finance later on. Few sectors reward accuracy and curiosity as consistently as this one does.
