Summary

Step into this Sustainability Consultant role and build something that matters in AgriTech.

Farming is under more pressure than it's ever faced. Carbon reporting, soil health, input efficiency, water use, all of it now sits at the centre of how food gets grown and sold. This is an established name in AgriTech, a large-scale operator with 250+ staff and the kind of resources that let a Sustainability Consultant actually see their recommendations through to field level, not just write them up and move on.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Assess sustainability performance across agricultural operations and supply chains, using data rather than guesswork

Build and deliver carbon reduction plans tailored to large-scale farming clients and internal teams

Write clear, evidence-based sustainability reports for stakeholders, regulators and clients

Advise on regenerative practices, input reduction and resource efficiency across projects

Track regulatory change in agricultural sustainability and translate it into practical guidance

Work alongside agronomists, data teams and account managers to keep sustainability targets grounded in what's actually achievable on the ground

Here are the skills you'll need:

A degree in environmental science, agriculture, sustainability or a related field

A few years' experience in a sustainability or environmental consulting role, ideally with exposure to agriculture or food systems

Working knowledge of carbon accounting methodologies and sustainability reporting frameworks

Strong written communication. You'll be producing reports that clients and regulators both need to trust

Comfort with data analysis tools, and the judgement to know when a number needs a second look

The ability to hold your ground in a room of agronomists and engineers without losing the plain-English thread

Key perks and benefits:

£34,000 to £44,000, depending on experience

Hybrid working, based out of Southampton

Private medical and dental insurance

Enhanced pension scheme and performance-based bonuses

Structured career development within an established industry leader

Why pursue a career in AgriTech?

AgriTech is one of the few sectors where sustainability isn't a side project, it's the whole point. Southampton's position on the south coast, close to major ports and a strong agricultural hinterland, makes it a genuinely useful base for anyone working across food and farming supply chains. Get in now as a Sustainability Consultant and you're building a career in a field that's only going to matter more, not less.

This Sustainability Consultant opportunity in Southampton is brought to you by The Opportunity Hub UK.
