Summary

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of young people every day?

Are you passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential?

Do you have the patience, empathy and enthusiasm to support children and young people to succeed both academically and personally?

De Aston School is seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic Level 1 Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Learning Support Department.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning, build confidence and thrive within a fully inclusive school environment.

Working alongside teachers and experienced Learning Support staff, you will provide classroom-based support to individual students and small groups across a wide range of subjects and year groups. You will help create positive learning experiences, encourage independence, and support students to overcome barriers that may be affecting their progress.

No two days are the same. One lesson you could be supporting a student with literacy skills, the next helping a group engage with learning in science, mathematics or English. This is a role where your encouragement, patience and positive approach can have a lasting impact on a young person's education and wellbeing.

You'll be joining a dedicated team within a school that places inclusion, pastoral care and student success at the heart of everything it does. At De Aston School, we are committed to supporting both our students and staff, providing excellent professional development opportunities and a welcoming school community.

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you are looking for a fulfilling role where you can support young people, develop your skills and become part of a caring and ambitious school community, we would love to hear from you.

Join De Aston School and help every student believe, strive and achieve.
