As a service, we are passionate about supporting midwives ongoing professional development.We have an outstanding practice development team who will ensure a smooth transition to our unit.

Interviews will be held onTBC

• Be able to demonstrate leadership and management skills

• Be flexible with a caring attitude, rotating throughout the maternity departments as required and to be a part of the on-call service we provide.

• Have excellent and extended clinical skills

• Be able to develop their clinical skills and participate in continuing their professional development.

• Have experience in solving problems and using initiative.

• Have the ability to take the lead when caring for women and their babies, identifying any deterioration from normal and escalating appropriately.

• Be able to communicate and work together in a multidisciplinary team.

PROFESSIONAL

· Fulfil the role of midwife as defined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council adhering to the Midwives Rules and Code of Practice thereby ensuring relevant registration is maintained.

· Take personal responsibility for own professional development and up-dating in accordance with PREP requirements.

· Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to meet the needs of mothers and their babies.
