You'll also gain exposure to specialist maternity services within the South West's major tertiary Fetal Medicine Unit.

As a Band 6 Midwife, you'll practise autonomously while being supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team and senior midwifery leadership. You'll coordinate clinical activity, support junior colleagues, contribute to service improvement and have access to ongoing professional development opportunities.

Please note: This vacancy is open to midwives with post-registration experience, able to practise at Band 6 level. Newly qualified midwives, students awaiting PIN and candidates requiring Band 5 preceptorship are not eligible. Previous applicants need not apply.

We focus on providing the opportunity to gain appropriate experience to enable progression to band 7. We offer band 7 secondment posts within the unit, where you will feel supported and guided by familiar colleagues that you would have built a rapport with through your band 6 experience.
