Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Advisor to join their reputable and expanding automotive business in Nottingham. This is a key role within a well-established company committed to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards across their modern workshop facilities. The Service Advisor will play a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient communication, high-quality service, and smooth operational flow.

- Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Duties of a Service Advisor:

- Greet customers and understand their vehicle servicing and repair needs

- Book customer vehicles into the workshop and manage appointments efficiently

- Provide timely updates to customers throughout the repair process

- Liaise effectively with technicians and workshop staff to ensure smooth operations

- Prepare accurate estimates and obtain customer authorisation for additional work

- Explain repairs and servicing requirements clearly to customers

- Handle customer queries professionally, resolving issues promptly

- Ensure all customer records and paperwork are correctly maintained

- Identify opportunities for additional services and explain these to customers

- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service from start to finish

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive sector

- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

- Confident in dealing face-to-face and over the phone with customers

- Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities

- Well-versed in vehicle servicing and repair processes

- Professional attitude with a positive approach

- Good attention to detail and accurate administrative skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced workshop environment
