Summary

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a Service Advisor for their well-established automotive bodyshop in Kirkby. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to join a reputable company that values customer service and operational excellence. The Service Advisor will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to customers throughout their vehicle repair journey.

Duties of a Service Advisor:

- Act as the primary contact for customers, offering a professional, friendly service

- Manage customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions

- Keep customers informed regarding the progress of their vehicle repairs

- Schedule vehicle bookings, collections, and deliveries as required

- Liaise with workshop team to obtain accurate repair updates and timescales

- Communicate effectively with insurers and relevant third parties

- Explain repair procedures and timescales clearly to customers

- Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally

- Maintain accurate and detailed customer and vehicle records

- Provide general administrative support to the wider team

- Ensure customers receive regular updates during their vehicle’s repair process

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or as a Service Advisor

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Organised with excellent attention to detail

- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage workload efficiently

- Good IT literacy and confidence in using computer systems

- Calm, professional attitude, especially during challenging situations

- Proactive with a team-oriented approach

- Automotive or bodyshop experience is advantageous but not essential
