Summary

Labourer with Driving Licence – Key Responsibilities

Drive company vehicles safely to and from allocated job locations.

Transport maintenance operatives, tools, materials and equipment between sites.

Collect and deliver building materials from suppliers and merchants.

Assist skilled tradespeople with general property maintenance and repair works.

Carry out basic labouring tasks, including site preparation, moving materials, loading and unloading vehicles.

Assist with minor repairs, property clearance, strip-out works and refurbishment projects.

Remove building waste and debris, ensuring correct disposal at authorised facilities.

Maintain clean, tidy and safe working areas, including occupied and void properties.

Assist with loading, unloading and securing materials and equipment.

Undertake daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.

Follow company health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices.

Complete additional reasonable duties as instructed by the Supervisor or Management.

Requirements:

Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the company vehicle.

Previous experience in construction, property maintenance or general labouring preferred. (But not essential)

Ability to undertake manual handling and physically demanding tasks safely.

Good timekeeping, reliability and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Professional and respectful attitude when working in residents' homes.

Role Summary:

This is a dual-role position combining driving responsibilities with hands-on general labouring duties to support the efficient delivery of responsive repairs, planned maintenance and property refurbishment works.
