Summary

WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners. We're launching in Barnsley and looking for up to five self-employed walkers spread across the town: Worsbrough, Darton, Monk Bretton, Athersley and Wombwell, and around Locke Park and Worsbrough Mill Country Park.

This is not a job with a wage, and there are no guaranteed bookings. You run your own small walking business through the app: you choose your prices, days and patch, owners book and pay through the app, and the money goes to your bank.

Every walker on WoofWalk sets their own prices. An hour's solo walk is typically listed at £12 to £28, with £18 as the middle price (about 200 listings, October 2026). These are other walkers' prices, not a wage.

Terms, plainly: free to join. No commission for your first 14 days, then 15% of each booking, falling to 10% once five of your own clients join. Clients you bring yourself pay the lower rate from their first booking. You handle your own tax, National Insurance and insurance.

We'll help you set up: send us your area, days and price and we'll draft your profile for you to check. Already walking dogs? Bring your clients and run bookings, payments and GPS-tracked walks in one app.

You need to be over 18, happy walking in all weathers, and willing to meet each owner and dog first. Apply through Find a Job and tell us which part of Barnsley you can cover.
