What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Woodfield Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Learning Support/Teaching Assistant to work in our friendly, successful and welcoming school. Specific knowledge or experience of working with children with autism is welcome.

We are looking for someone who is willing to take a full and active role in the life of the school and be part of a hardworking and committed team. The post holder will work as a Learning Support Assistant across school, supporting children in class, in 1:1 and small group situations. The successful candidate will have the experience and/or the ability to support children with additional learning needs to make appropriate progress relevant to their individual targets and action plans. You will have the ability to form positive relationships with children and families, focused on individual learning need. The role may also include delivering intervention support programmes as school need dictates. Up to 10 hours will be spent working in our very popular afterschool wraparound care club, Treetops. You will work under the direction of the Headteacher/Assistant Headteachers, class teachers and school SENCO.
