Summary

Monday- Friday 8.30 -3.30pm. Term Time only.

Number of pupils on roll: 380 The Governors and Head Teacher of Hempshill Hall Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) who will initially be supporting a pupil 1:1. In this role you will aim to increase pupil engagement in learning, positive interactions and regulate the pupils behaviour through de-escalation strategiesThe successful applicant will be expected to:• Have recent and relevant experience of supporting children with additional needs

• Have experience working in a school or similar setting

• Be committed to inclusion

• Work well as part of a team and independently

• Support other children with similar needs as part of a small group

• Adapt the curriculum to make it accessible

• Establish a strong relationship with pupils, colleagues and parents/ carers

• Be willing to access CPD

• Be willing to undertake training or have current training in de-escalation techniques, including physical intervention
