Summary

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm. Term time only.This role is initially until the end of the academic year but it is likely to be extended.Number of pupils on roll: 375The Governors and Head Teacher of Hempshill Hall Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) who will initially be based in our SEN Hub. The role will be supporting the teaching and learning of all children and supporting individuals with additional needs who may require adaptations and support to access the curriculum and environment.The successful applicant will be expected to:· Have recent and relevant experience of supporting children with additional needs· Have experience working in a school setting· Be committed to inclusion· Work well as part of a team· Support other children with similar needs as part of a small group· Adapt the curriculum to make it accessible· Establish a strong relationship with colleagues and parents/ carers· Be willing to access CPD· Help with feeding and intimate care needs for children· Be willing to undertake training or have current training in de-escalation techniques, including physical intervention· Remain calm in high pressure situations and nurture strong, caring relationships with all pupilsIn return we can offer you:· A welcoming friendly school· Support from a friendly and experienced team· Induction and training· A vibrant learning environment· Opportunities to undertake training and develop skills and experienceInterviews will take place on Monday 16th November 2026 in the afternoon.Please include a supporting letter.
