Summary

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a well-established, family-run automotive business located in Oldham, Greater Manchester. The Vehicle Technician role presents an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals eager to develop their careers within a supportive, expanding team environment. Benefits:

- Competitive basic salary of £24,000 – £28,000, depending on experience

- Monday to Friday working hours, generally around 7:30am – 5:00pm

- No weekend work required

- 25 days' holiday per year, plus Christmas off

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

- Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles

- Assist senior technicians with complex mechanical and technical tasks

- Conduct vehicle inspections, fault diagnosis, and identify issues with guidance as needed

- Develop diagnostic skills, particularly in modern vehicle systems and electrical components

- Work toward achieving advanced qualifications, including Level 3 and electric vehicle training

- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service

- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure efficient workshop operation

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

- Previous workshop experience or a genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and repair

- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is advantageous but not essential

- Practical experience in vehicle servicing or repair

- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to skill development

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team-based environment

- Pride in quality workmanship and supporting colleagues

- Full UK driving licence preferred but not mandatory
