Summary

Cardiff and the Vale need dog trainers who want to be booked directly by owners. We have two places. It is commission-based self-employment, so there is no wage, and it is a different job from the dog-walking vacancies we have run here.

WoofWalk is a booking app for dog owners in the UK and does not employ trainers. Owners look for training in the app, book a session and pay there, and your earnings are paid out to your bank. You set your prices and hours. Bookings and income are not guaranteed.

You should know that only one-to-one sessions can be booked. Group classes, courses and online sessions are not possible through WoofWalk yet. Sessions in a Pontcanna park or at a client's home in Roath fit well.

When a session is over you can write a training report with homework, which the owner reads in the app. List your qualifications on your profile and upload certificates for WoofWalk to check. Say which methods you use, whether that is reward-based, clicker or another.

Not every case is for a trainer. Serious aggression needs a qualified behaviourist or a vet. Say what you can help with and refer the rest.

The search does not filter by area, so check the address of each request. Someone in Whitchurch may ask for a session in Penarth or Cyncoed, and you can decline.

Nothing to pay to join. No commission for 14 days, then 15% of each booking, falling to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you.
