Are you passionate about fashion, eCommerce and leading people?

Do you have a great eye for spotting brands, trends and high-value garments – and know what customers are looking for online?

We're recruiting for a charitable organisation looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded eCommerce Fashion Team Leader to join their busy warehouse operation in Batley.

This isn't your traditional warehouse Team Leader role.

You'll be leading a team responsible for identifying the best, most desirable and most valuable donated fashion items and ensuring they are selected for the eCommerce operation. Your knowledge of fashion trends, brands and online retail will directly contribute to maximising sales and generating vital income for the charity.

If you can look at a rail of clothing and immediately spot the pieces that could perform well online, this could be the role for you.

What's On Offer?

Work within a purpose-driven charitable organisation

Lead and develop a diverse team of employees, volunteers and agency staff

Opportunity to make a genuine commercial impact through eCommerce

About the Role

Every day, significant volumes of donated clothing arrive at the warehouse.

Your team will be responsible for sorting through this stock and identifying the items with the greatest potential for online sales.

You'll use your fashion knowledge and commercial judgement to ensure the right products make their way into the eCommerce operation, helping the organisation achieve the best possible return from every donation.

You'll lead, motivate and develop the team while ensuring the operation runs efficiently and consistently.

Your Key Responsibilities

People Leadership

Lead and motivate Team Members, listers, assistant listers, agency workers, volunteers, placements and corporate groups.

Set clear expectations and monitor team performance against agreed KPIs.

Coach and develop team members to improve productivity and quality.

Address performance issues appropriately and support formal processes where required.

Ensure teams are fully trained, supported and kept informed.

Fashion & eCommerce Operations

Oversee the daily sorting and selection of donated garments for eCommerce.

Identify high-value, desirable and commercially saleable fashion items.

Keep up to date with current fashion trends, brands, styles and consumer demand.

Ensure the sorting team understands what products are likely to perform well online.

Make informed decisions around stock selection, pricing, bundling, relisting and reductions.

Ensure product quality and presentation meet eCommerce standards.

Support photography, listing, fulfilment, dispatch and returns operations.

Monitor online stock and ensure inventory is accurate and effectively managed.

Commercial Awareness

Maximise the sales potential of donated stock.

Identify opportunities to increase revenue through effective product selection and routing.

Decide when stock should be directed towards eCommerce, wholesale, recycling, reduction or other sales channels.

Support new product initiatives and workstreams as required.

Monitor performance and use data and commercial insight to improve results.

Operational Management

Plan and coordinate daily workflows across sorting, photography, listing, dispatch, inventory and related activities.

Ensure adequate staffing and resources are available to meet operational targets.

Process both B2B and B2C orders efficiently.

Support wider warehouse operations when required.

Ensure operational targets for listings, sales, quality and dispatch are achieved.
