Summary

Are you ready to play a key role in keeping Conwy’s trunk roads safe, reliable and moving? The trunk road network is a vital link for communities, businesses and visitors across the county, stretching from the coast to the valleys and providing access to some of North Wales’s most striking landscapes.

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated person to join our small, supportive team coordinating trunk road maintenance activities within the Open Spaces Trunk Road Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your highways experience to make a visible difference, helping to maintain the strategic routes that keep Conwy and the wider region connected.

The successful candidate must have at least five years’ experience of working in a highways environment, including exposure to trunk road operations. You will be a positive leader who can motivate staff, communicate clearly and effectively direct teams and individuals on technical matters. You will also have thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation and its practical application.

Trunk road work takes place when roads are quieter, so flexibility is essential. Regular night and weekend working will be a key part of the role, with enhanced rates for working outside normal hours.
