Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust (LDLT) is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking and values-driven Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership of a growing and ambitious multi-academy trust, with 14 primary schools in North and West Yorkshire. We are looking for an outstanding leader who can help shape our future growth and ensure our resources make a real difference to the children and communities we serve.

Working closely with the CEO and Trust Board, you will provide strategic leadership across finance, business and operational functions, ensuring robust financial management, effective governance and long-term sustainability. You will lead and develop a dedicated team, oversee key areas including estates, procurement, HR and digital strategy, and play an integral role in supporting school improvement and the Trust's continued development. We are looking for someone with significant senior financial leadership experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to combine financial expertise with a collaborative, supportive approach. Experience within education is welcomed but is not essential.

What the school offers its staff

At LDLT, our vision of Loving, Living and Learning Together underpins everything we do. We offer the opportunity to join a welcoming, supportive and ambitious Trust where your leadership will have a genuine impact. Alongside a competitive salary, we offer membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working and opportunities for professional development. If you share our values and are passionate about making a difference through excellent financial and operational leadership, we would love to hear from you.

If you would like a conversation about this role, please email jo.hick@ldlt.co.uk and we can arrange this.

Commitment to safeguarding

Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its pupils, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of our area. Appointments are made subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
