Summary
Task Personnel Solutions are recruiting Waiting Staff to work across a range of hospitality, catering, restaurant and event venues.
This is a customer-focused role with responsibility for providing excellent service, taking food and drink orders, serving customers and supporting the smooth running of front-of-house operations.
You may be working in restaurants, hotels, cafés, bars or event venues, welcoming guests, taking orders, serving meals and drinks, and helping create a positive dining experience.
Your Role
You’ll help ensure customers receive friendly, efficient and professional service throughout their visit. You’ll be a welcoming and approachable member of the team, helping guests feel comfortable and ensuring their needs are met.
You’ll also help maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation, keep service areas organised and work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure service runs smoothly.
What You’ll Do
• Welcome customers and show them to their tables where required
• Present menus and provide information about food and drink options
• Take food and drink orders accurately
• Serve meals and drinks in a professional and timely manner
• Respond to customer questions, requests and special requirements
• Communicate orders and dietary requirements to the kitchen team
• Clear tables and reset them for incoming customers
• Keep dining areas clean, tidy and presentable
• Assist with setting up and closing down service areas
• Handle customer payments where required
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient service
• Follow instructions from supervisors and management
