Summary

This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the visitor experience at WWT Slimbridge. As a Casual Visitor Engager, you'll help bring our wetlands, wildlife and conservation work to life through engaging activities, interactive experiences and memorable visitor encounters.

No two days are the same. You could be delivering a spotlight talk, leading a pond dipping session, running craft activities, supporting science shows, or helping visitors discover more about the incredible wildlife that calls Slimbridge home. During seasonal events, you'll also have the opportunity to step into character as an elf or other themed figure, using storytelling, roleplay and interactive engagement to create magical moments for visitors of all ages.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and is passionate about creating welcoming, engaging and inclusive experiences. You'll develop confidence in public engagement and interpretation, work alongside a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, and play an important role in helping visitors connect with nature.

Every interaction is an opportunity to inspire visitors to learn more about wetlands, wildlife and conservation. By helping people develop a deeper understanding of the natural world and the work of WWT, you'll support our mission to restore wetlands and unlock their power for wildlife and people.
