Litigation Paralegal needed in Central London Paying £122.26 per day ref OR118909
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support and assistance on a range of housing management and landlord and tenant matters.
- Assist with the conduct of litigation relating to:
- Possession proceedings
- Access injunctions
- Anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases
- Disrepair claims
- Tenancy enforcement matters
- Draft legal proceedings, pleadings, witness statements, notices, applications and other litigation documents.
- Manage a caseload of pre-action housing litigation matters under supervision.
- Support solicitors, counsel and legal colleagues in preparing cases for court and hearings.
- Liaise with housing officers, clients, external solicitors, counsel, courts and partner agencies.
- Provide support and guidance to witnesses involved in legal proceedings, including attendance at meetings and occasional home visits where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records in accordance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct legal research and assist in preparing legal advice notes, reports and correspondence.
- Support the delivery of training and awareness sessions on housing management and landlord and tenant law.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Provide cover for colleagues within the legal team as required.
