Summary

I am currently working with a London-based financial-services client who are actively seeking a

Quant Python Software Engineer to work on the development of a business-critical research and analytics platform.

Overview

This role sits between quantitative research and software engineering, focused on transforming research models and analytics into scalable, production-grade software. You'll work closely with quants and researchers, applying strong Python engineering skills and a product-focused mindset to build robust, reliable platforms used across the business.

Rate: Up to £1100pd Umbrella

Duration: Initial 6-month contract

Location: London-based hybrid working

Key requirements

Strong Python software engineering experience building production-grade applications, platforms or products

Experience working within quantitative research, portfolio analytics, factor investing, risk, scientific computing or similar analytical environments

Proven experience taking research, models, notebooks or prototypes and producing them into scalable software solutions

Experience building systems that support data analysis, simulations, computational research or quantitative workflows

Strong engineering mindset with the ability to challenge requirements, drive best practice and build reliable, enterprise-scale products rather than one-off solutions
