Summary
Looking for full-time work with regular weekday shifts and the opportunity to secure a permanent position? We’re recruiting Forklift / Production Operatives to join a busy food manufacturing business in Heckington.
This role offers a combination of forklift driving and hands-on production work. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, is happy to get involved across different areas of the operation and wants to build a long-term future with a company.
The Role
You’ll work as part of a busy production team, with your time split between operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck and carrying out practical production duties.
Please note: this is primarily a production role, with approximately 20% FLT driving and 80% production work.
Your duties will include:
Operating a counterbalance forklift to move stock and materials safely
Loading and unloading deliveries
Filling 1-tonne bulk bags and 25kg sacks with product
Supporting general production and warehouse operations
Following food hygiene, Health and Safety and quality procedures
Keeping the production area clean, tidy and organised
Carrying out manual handling tasks as required
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
A valid Counterbalance FLT licence — in-house licences are not accepted
Reliable attendance and excellent timekeeping
A positive, hardworking attitude and an interest in long-term employment
The ability to undertake manual handling and work in a physically active environment
The ability to work comfortably in a busy food production setting
No allergies to peanuts or tree nuts
Long-term, ongoing work
Temporary position with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract
Monday to Friday
12-hour day shifts
Overtime rate applies after 48 hours worked per week
£13.75 per hour
Monday-to-Friday working
Full-time hours
