Summary

The role exists to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) by supporting research that generates impactful solutions to organisational challenges. The role exists to help deliver high-quality research outcomes that enhance the University's research reputation, inform policy and practice, foster innovation, and create opportunities for collaboration with academic, and industry partners. Through contributing to the successful delivery of AI research projects, the postholder will help ensure that research findings translate into meaningful real-world benefits and support the University's strategic research objectives.

The allocation is 11 hours and 36 minutes per month, which may be worked on any day between Monday and Friday. Over a period of five months, this equates to a total of 58 hours.

Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days each week, hybrid working is available for this role. The Research Assistant may work from home or from designated sites for data collection purposes where required.

The interviews are currently anticipated to be held on 13 October 2026.

This appointment is a fixed-term contract.
