Telesales Executive | Newmarket, Suffolk (Hybrid Working) | Part Time / Full Time | £25,000–£30,000 per annum, with the possibility of commission

Our client is a specialist industrial cleaning business delivering high-quality cleaning and maintenance solutions to commercial, industrial, and corporate clients across the UK.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a confident, proactive Telesales Executive to generate new business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients.

This could be an ideal opportunity for someone looking for part-time or school-hours work while still working in a professional B2B sales environment.

The Role

As a Telesales Executive, you will focus on proactively contacting potential commercial and industrial clients to introduce the business, identify opportunities and generate new leads.

You will be responsible for making outbound calls, sending follow-up emails, gathering accurate information and maintaining regular contact with prospective clients.

Working closely with the Director and Account Manager, you will identify and qualify opportunities before passing them across to the wider team. The Director will handle site surveys and client meetings, allowing you to focus on generating and developing new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective commercial and industrial clients

• Identify and generate new business opportunities

• Introduce the company's services and establish initial interest

• Build relationships with prospective clients by telephone and email

• Qualify leads and gather accurate information about client requirements

• Respond promptly to incoming website leads and telephone enquiries

• Prepare and issue quotes quickly in response to time-sensitive client requirements

• Follow up enquiries and quotes to convert opportunities into confirmed business

• Follow up leads, enquiries and previous conversations

• Arrange appointments and site visits for the Director where appropriate

• Research potential clients and identify new opportunities

• Maintain accurate records of calls, leads and follow-up activity

• Communicate professionally with prospective clients

• Work closely with the Director and Account Manager to maximise opportunities

Requirements

Essential

• Previous experience in telesales, telephone-based sales, business development, lead generation or a similar role

• Confident and professional telephone manner

• Excellent written communication, spelling and grammar

• Good organisational and administrative skills

• Accurate when collecting and recording information

• Proactive and persistent approach to following up opportunities

• Comfortable making outbound calls to prospective clients

• Able to work at pace, prioritise incoming enquiries and act quickly to progress sales opportunities

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

• Understanding of facilities management or commercial service contracts

• Experience using CRM or sales management systems

• Experience generating appointments for a sales or business development team

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be confident, personable and proactive, with the ability to speak comfortably with businesses and build rapport over the telephone.

Excellent communication skills are important, particularly when gathering information and following up opportunities by email. You will also be organised and accurate, keeping lead information and follow-up activity up to date.

You will be comfortable balancing proactive lead generation with responding to incoming enquiries. A fast-paced, responsive approach is essential, as quoting promptly and closing opportunities can make a real difference when clients need urgent services.

This is an opportunity to join a growing specialist business in a role focused on generating new opportunities and supporting the wider sales process, rather than managing the full sales cycle.

What's On Offer

• £25,000–£30,000 per annum, with the possibility of commission

• Part-time or full-time hours considered

• Hybrid working

• 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, pro rata for part-time hours
