Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organisedJob Evaluation Administratorto join our HR Advisory Team.
This is a new post, fixed term for two years and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of theNHS Job Evaluation Scheme (Agenda for Change), ensuring that job evaluation processes are administered efficiently, accurately and in line with national guidance and local procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail and an interest in workforce management and organisational development within the NHS, along with experience in job evaluation as a panellist.
As Job Evaluation Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Trust's Job Evaluation function, coordinating activities that ensure the fair and consistent evaluation of roles across the organisation.
You will work closely with the Job Evaluation Lead, managers, Human Resources colleagues, staff-side representatives and Job Evaluation panellists to facilitate the smooth operation of Job Evaluation and matching processes.
Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating Job Evaluation panel meetings and maintaining panel schedules.
• Preparing and distributing job documentation, including job descriptions, person specifications and evaluation paperwork.
• Maintaining accurate Job Evaluation records, databases and electronic filing systems.
• Supporting the administration of consistency checking and quality assurance processes.
• Monitoring progress of evaluations and providing updates to managers and stakeholders.
• Producing reports, statistics and workforce information relating to Job Evaluation activity.
• Acting as a first point of contact for Job Evaluation enquiries from managers and employees.
• Supporting the delivery of Job Evaluation training sessions and workshops.
• Ensuring confidential information is handled in accordance with Trust policies and GDPR requirements.

The post holder acts as the first point of contact for managers, staff and staff-side representatives in relation to Job Evaluation enquiries, providing specialist advice and guidance, interpreting national guidance and supporting stakeholders through complex Job Evaluation processes.
The post holder works autonomously within agreed policies, procedures and national Job Evaluation guidance, independently resolving day-to-day issues and escalating only those matters which fall outside agreed parameters.
The role supports the planning, implementation and ongoing development of Job Evaluation initiatives, including the electronic Job Evaluation system (IJES), coordinating multiple workstreams, maintaining project documentation, supporting training programmes and ensuring accurate reporting and governance arrangements.
The post holder will ensure that the rota and coordination of panels is managed and that they are able to cover for management panel members (or for Staff side members if afflicted to a recognised union) in cases of emergency. They will also be responsible for the administration of future training via NHS Employers and compliance in relations to the guidelines set out in the Job Evaluation handbook.
To have effective communication skills as the post holder will be working with varied colleagues across the Trust but also explaining the Job evaluation process as per the handbook. Ensuring that any barriers to understanding is overcome but to also deal with issues in a sensitive manner.
