Our client is dedicated to keeping families together by providing holistic and tailored assessments in a warm and nurturing environment. Their residential family centre in Bromley supports up to nine families, empowering parents to develop the skills they need to care for their children safely and effectively.

As a Family Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in guiding and supporting parents, helping them build confidence, enhance their parenting skills, and create a stable future for their children. This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to be part of something truly meaningful!

What You'll Be Doing:

Follow safeguarding policies and procedures, record and report concerns promptly, maintain professional boundaries, and always prioritise the safety and welfare of children.

- Empowering families - Work closely with parents, encouraging positive change and supporting their journey towards independence.

- Hands-on support - Accompany families to appointments, shopping trips, and recreational activities, providing essential guidance.

- Observing and Assessing - Maintain accurate records, write daily chronologies, contribute to evidence-based assessments, and ensure children's welfare is always a priority.

- Working as part of a dynamic team - Collaborate in meetings, handovers, and case discussions to ensure the best outcomes for families.

- Being a role model - Lead by example and promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where families can thrive.

What They're Looking For:

- Passionate about making a difference - You are genuinely kind and care about supporting families and safeguarding children.

- Qualified and Experienced - You hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and ideally have experience working with vulnerable children and families.

- Committed to safeguarding - You understand the importance of child protection and adhere to safeguarding policies.

- Flexible and Adaptable - Willing to work a shift-based rota, including weekends and bank holidays.

- Clear DBS check - This role requires a clear background check due to its sensitive nature.

What You'll Gain:

- Job satisfaction - Work in a role where you can see the impact of your efforts every day.

- Career development - Gain valuable experience in child protection and court-directed parenting assessments.

- Personal development - Access to a broad range of training and learning that will support your continued personal development.

- Supportive team - Work alongside professionals who share your commitment to family welfare.
