We are recruiting for Part Time Catering Assistants at various schools in the area.

As a Catering Assistant, you'll be part of a friendly and supportive team, helping to prepare and serve healthy, nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming school environment. From food preparation and service to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, you'll play an important role in ensuring students enjoy their lunchtime experience.

At ISS, you'll be part of a company that values its people and provides opportunities to learn, develop, and grow. One of the key benefits of this role is the term-time-only contract with annualised pay. This means your salary is spread evenly across 12 months and paid monthly, giving you the security of a regular income throughout the year, including during school and college holiday periods.

The Role

• Support the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals.

• Set up and clear dining areas as required.

• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.

• Follow allergen, dietary, and special meal requirements.

• Receive, store, and handle food deliveries correctly.

• Operate tills where required.

• Report any health and safety concerns, accidents, or equipment faults.

• Provide a friendly and professional service to students, staff, and visitors.

• Work collaboratively as part of the catering team to deliver an excellent customer experience.

About You

• Previous experience in a catering, food service, hospitality, or customer-facing role desirable.

• Commitment to safeguarding, food safety, and delivering excellent service

• Ability to follow procedures, and instructions accurately.

• Positive, reliable, and team-focused approach.

As this role is based within a school environment, all successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check. ISS will arrange and cover the cost of this as part of the onboarding process.
