Daily Pay Rate: £120-£215 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding role in Retford?
Provide Education-a local specialist recruitment agency-is partnering with specialist SEN school to appoint an inspirational SEND Teacher to join their team, starting ASAP. The role will be on a temp-perm basis, following a sucessful probation period.
About the Role
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of special educational needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH needs and Complex care, linked to trauma)
- Support pupils in Key Stages 1-4 with bespoke, sensory-aware, and communication-focused teaching strategies
- Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to implement and monitor EHCP targets
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence
- Track pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and report on educational outcomes
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
- Proven experience teaching in an SEN or specialist setting
- Knowledge of alternative communication methods (Makaton, PECS) and sensory integration strategies
- Strong behaviour-management skills and a calm, resilient approach
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and record-keeping abilities
