Summary

Credit Controller- We're currently recruiting for an experienced

Credit Controller on a

temporary basis for up to 4 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in credit control, accounts receivable, or finance administration who is available at short notice. This role is based in

Halstead, Essex.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role,

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm. Hourly rate circa

£20.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage an allocated customer ledger and ensure accounts remain within agreed credit terms.

- Contact customers by telephone and email to chase outstanding payments.

- Allocate and reconcile customer payments accurately.

- Investigate and resolve invoice and account queries promptly.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.

- Escalate overdue or problematic accounts where appropriate.

- Work closely with the wider finance team to resolve queries and ensure timely payment.

- Assist with aged debt reporting and regular ledger reviews.

- Support wider accounts receivable and finance administration as required.

About You:

- Previous experience in a

Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable position.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills.

- Confidence speaking with customers regarding outstanding payments.

- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.

- Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.

- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.

- Experience working with high-volume ledgers or within a fast-paced finance environment would be advantageous.
