Summary

Salary: Hay 12 (£25,185 FTE) Contract: PermanentHours: 12 hours per weekShift Pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 3pm - 6pm. Term Time Only (38 weeks) Interviews will be held during the morning of Wednesday 21st October. Visits to the school are welcome. On-the-job training can be provided.You will:Deliver high-quality activitiesBuild excellent relationships with parents, carers and colleaguesFollow school and Ofsted standards and expectationsEncourage children to explore their interests through enriching activitiesHelp children build confidence and develop social and fundamental skillsJob Purpose:To be responsible to the Head Teacher for the organisation and provision of high-quality activities for pupils after the end of the normal school day.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Plan activities appropriate to the age and ability of the group.Promote, create and maintain an appropriate ethos that attracts and encourages pupils.Supervise, support and assist pupils undertaking activities, ensuring that all have equal opportunity to develop their individual and team skills.Be aware at all times of appropriate health and safety procedures.Organise equipment and accommodation.Prepare an afternoon snack.Quietly refer any instance of unacceptable behaviour or concerns they may have about pupils to the Head Teacher.Mop up spillages and accidents with the use of appropriate materials/equipment.Comfort and supervise pupils who are ill or have had an accident administering to their needs, as appropriate and referring to the nominated teacher and/or First Aider ensuring that accidents are recorded appropriately.Be aware and apply the school’s policies and procedures.Being aware of confidentiality issues linked to home/pupil/teacher/school work and to keep confidences as appropriate.Undertake any other curricular duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities/grade of the post as defined, subject to the proviso that any changes of a permanent nature shall be incorporated into the job description in specific terms, following consultation with the Recognised Trade Unions.
