The Opportunity

We are delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional

Sous Chef to join one of Cornwall's most prestigious independent luxury hotels. Set in a spectacular coastal location on the south coast of Cornwall, this is a rare opportunity to become part of an intimate, highly regarded property where outstanding hospitality, exceptional food and genuine Cornish character come together.

The Kitchen The kitchen is led by an accomplished Executive Chef whose cooking is driven by seasonality, provenance, sustainability and exceptional produce. Working closely with some of Cornwall's finest local suppliers, the team places particular emphasis on the county's outstanding seafood. With the daily catch landed just metres from the restaurant, the kitchen has a genuine sea-to-table philosophy, centred around freshness, quality and locality. This is a serious, quality-led kitchen where produce, technique, consistency and attention to detail are at the heart of everything they do - all within an extraordinary waterside setting.

About You We are looking for a career-minded Sous Chef who is ready to take the next step in their career and become an integral part of an established, ambitious culinary team. You will ideally have:

• Experience within a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel or quality-led kitchen

• Michelin-starred or Michelin-recognised experience is highly desirable

• Strong technical ability and consistently high culinary standards

• Experience supporting, developing and leading a professional brigade

• A genuine passion for seasonal, local and sustainable produce

• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills

• The maturity and professionalism required to operate at a high level

• A genuine desire to find a long-term home and build a career within one property

Package & Benefits

• £38,000-£43,000 salary, depending on experience

• Approximately £3,000-£3,500 annual tronc

• Affordable live-in accommodation available

• Late January / early February start

• Excellent long-term career progression

• Salary flexibility for the right individual, with up to £43,000 available for an exceptional candidate
