Are you looking for a role that is varied and challenging, where you have the potential to make a real difference and improve the lives of older people in Leeds? If so, we at Age UK Leeds are recruiting for an Volunteer Coordinator to work as part of our Volunteer Home Befriending Service.

Service: Volunteer Home Befriending Service

Salary: Scale 6 £29,398 pro rata.

Hours: 15 hours per week over 3-4 days

Closing Date: Monday 12th October 2026

Interview Date: Week commencing 19th October 2026

Location: Bradbury Building, Leeds but also Community work across Leeds city

It is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group (i.e. adults at risk, children or both).

Age UK Leeds is recruiting a Volunteer Coordinator to deliver a Volunteer Home Befriending Service, for older people living with dementia and their carers.

If you have experience in recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers, along with successfully working with older people living with dementia, this could be an excellent opportunity for you to be part of this new project.

This role is initially until 31st March 2027, but does have the potential to be extended if the project is successful. Due to the short timescale of the initial project, we are looking to fill the role as quickly as possible. It is essential that applicants have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
