Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join a leading vehicle rental company in Cardiff. This position offers an excellent opportunity for qualified technicians to develop their careers within a reputable organisation operating across the UK. The Vehicle Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a large fleet of light commercial vehicles and cars, ensuring high standards of service and safety.

- 42.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am to 12:00pm (paid as overtime)

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using specialised equipment to identify faults in electrical and mechanical systems of vehicles

- Carry out repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on light commercial vehicles and cars

- Prepare vehicles for MOT tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards

- Maintain accurate work records and ensure high quality of workmanship

- Work efficiently within a team, delivering excellent customer service and technical quality

- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

- Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with an NVQ/IMI Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent

- Several years of practical experience in a similar role

- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points

- Ability to work methodically and organise workload effectively

- Strong team player with high attention to detail

- Reside within reasonable commute distance of Cardiff
