Summary

We are seeking a fully qualified HGV Technician to join our client's reputable service department in Cardiff. This HGV Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals to develop their career within a leading franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership. The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining operational efficiency. This will be a fixed shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, working from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Duties of a HGV Technician:

- Perform all scheduled service maintenance and repairs to a high standard, within manufacturer time guidelines

- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and resolve complex malfunctions

- Support team members with technical issues and share expertise to support workshop activities

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards

- Document findings and actions taken during diagnostics and repairs

- Uphold professionalism in all customer interactions, enhancing customer retention and dealership reputation

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

- Live within Cardiff or a reasonable commuting distance

- Hold NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent as a minimum in HGV maintenance and repair

- Practical experience post-qualification is preferred

- Ability to produce quality workmanship in a fast-paced workshop environment

- Strong team player with a motivated, committed attitude

- Valid HGV driving license is advantageous but not essential
