We’re looking for a reliable, proactive Bagging & Hygiene Operative to join our busy animal feed manufacturing team. This is a hands-on production role at the heart of our operation, ensuring the highest quality of feed leaves our depot.

Day to Day

- Conduct quality checks on all finished products loaded into totes, ensuring they meet customer specifications and are delivered on time and in full.

- Identify and report any quality concerns to the Team Leader for investigation and resolution.

- Ensure all dispatched totes are correctly labelled with the production date, product details, and tonnage, with the required declaration documentation included.

- Support production scheduling activities in collaboration with the Team Leader as required.

- Operate all plant and equipment safely, reporting any defects or hazards promptly through the near miss reporting system.

- Maintain compliance with UFAS standards and all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.

- Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance forklift to support the loading and unloading of bagged products, vehicles, and pallet deliveries.

- Ensure all outbound deliveries are accompanied by accurate and complete documentation.

- Verify inbound deliveries against delivery documentation and promptly escalate any discrepancies to ensure accurate stock reconciliation and booking-in of goods.

- Support general cleaning and maintenance schedules as required.

What will you bring?

- A valid counterbalance forklift license is desirable – training and refreshers can be provided.

- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

- Understanding of basic Health and Safety requirements and the ability to follow internal process.

- Comfortable on your feet – this can be a physically demanding role.
