Psychology Graduate from a Russell Group university looking to gain valuable school experience with the aim of progressing into

teacher training next academic year?

We are currently recruiting for a

Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in

East London, SE14.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain practical classroom experience and build a strong foundation before progressing onto

teacher training in the next academic year.

The role:

    •

    Supporting students across the secondary school

    •

    Providing 1:1 and small-group support

    •

    Assisting teachers within the classroom

    •

    Supporting students with additional learning needs

    •

    Helping students develop confidence, independence and engagement

    •

    Working alongside teachers and the SEN team

    •

    Supporting behaviour and classroom management

    •

    Gaining valuable experience in preparation for teacher training

    The ideal candidate:

      •

      Psychology degree from a Russell Group university

      •

      2:1 or above

      •

      Passionate about education and working with young people

      •

      Confident, patient and approachable

      •

      Strong communication and interpersonal skills

      •

      Looking to progress into

      teacher training next academic year

      •

      Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential

      DBS required – applicants without a DBS can be supported through the process.

      This role provides an excellent

      pathway into teacher training, allowing you to gain hands-on secondary school experience, develop classroom skills and work alongside experienced teaching professionals before starting your teacher training next academic year.
