Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lewisham CAMHS as a Band 4 Senior Administrator and Referral Co-ordinator, playing a key role in the development and delivery of a new Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) service. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team from the outset, helping to establish the administrative systems, processes and pathways that will support children, young people and families receiving intensive community-based interventions. Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will be instrumental in coordinating referrals, supporting clinical activity, maintaining high-quality data systems and ensuring an excellent experience for families and partner agencies. If you are organised, proactive and passionate about supporting innovative mental health services, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications. Early application is therefore strongly encouraged to avoid disappointment.

You will be responsible for managing referrals and waiting lists, maintaining patient records and data quality, arranging appointments and meetings, producing correspondence and minutes, and supporting the day-to-day administration of Lewisham CAMHS. The post holder will work closely with clinicians, service users and external agencies to ensure efficient service delivery, excellent patient experience and compliance with NHS standards and targets.

Lewisham CAMHS is part of South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK's leading mental health trusts and internationally recognised for excellence in clinical practice, research and innovation. Our multidisciplinary teams are committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to children, young people and their families. We work closely with schools, social care, health partners and community organisations to provide high-quality, accessible mental health support across Lewisham. We are proud of our collaborative culture, commitment to staff development and focus on improving outcomes for local communities.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and referral coordination support to Lewisham CAMHS. Key responsibilities include managing incoming referrals, maintaining accurate patient records, monitoring waiting lists and operational data quality, arranging appointments and meetings, producing correspondence and reports, supporting multidisciplinary teams, liaising with service users and partner agencies, and contributing to service improvement initiatives. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of customer service and confidentiality.
