Summary

Office Manager and Xero Bookkeeper

Our client is a growing structural engineering practice in Southwest London, delivering high-quality solutions for a diverse range of clients.

They are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Office Manager and Xero Bookkeeper to support their growing team. This varied, hands-on role combines bookkeeping, office management and project administration, playing a key part in the smooth running of their practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including invoices, expenses, receipts and financial records.

- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and assist with bank reconciliations and month-end processes.

- Support the preparation of basic financial reports and liaise with external Accountants as required.

- Oversee daily office operations, supplies, equipment and general administration.

- Maintain organised filing systems and manage project documentation.

- Provide administrative support to Engineers and project teams.

- Assist with coordinating meetings, company events and team activities.

Experience and Skills:

- Minimum one year of practical bookkeeping experience, or a relevant qualification supported by hands-on experience.

- Experience with accounting software; Xero knowledge highly desirable.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace.

- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- A proactive, reliable and professional approach.

Desirable:

- An interest in construction or engineering, with experience in project administration or a consultancy environment.
