Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education college in London to recruit an experienced and motivated

English Lecturer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Lecturer to join a supportive FE environment and make a positive impact on learners achievement and progression.

Location: London

Salary: Up to £40 per hour

Contract: Temporary / Ongoing

Start Date: Immediately

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to FE learners.

Plan and prepare effective lessons in line with curriculum requirements.

Teach English across relevant levels and programmes.

Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback.

Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement.

Develop engaging teaching and learning resources.

Support learners with different abilities and learning needs.

Maintain accurate assessment and learner records.

Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support positive learner outcomes.

Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Follow all safeguarding, equality, health and safety policies and procedures.

About You

We're looking for an

English Lecturer who has:

Recent experience teaching English within Further Education or a similar educational setting.

Strong subject knowledge in English.

Experience teaching

GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English.

A relevant English-related degree or qualification.

A recognised teaching qualification such as

PGCE, Cert Ed, DET, DTLLS or equivalent is desirable.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Experience assessing learner work and supporting learner progression.

A genuine passion for education and helping learners achieve their potential.
