Summary
Gotpeople is seeking a reliable and experienced
7.5-tonne Delivery Driver for ad hoc day deliveries based in Hatfield.
About the Role
As a
7.5-tonne Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, consistently providing excellent customer service. This role covers deliveries within and around London and involves manual handling. Occasionally, you may collaborate as part of a two-person team.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver goods safely and efficiently to customers
• Assist with unloading goods when necessary
• Carry out daily
vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
• Ensure all deliveries comply with company policies and procedures
• Maintain a high standard of
customer service when interacting with clients
• Adhere to all
driver hours and road safety regulations
• Maintain clear and effective
communication throughout the working day
Driver Requirements
• Valid
7.5-tonne (Category C1) licence
• Possession of a
full CPC and
digital tachograph card
• No more than
six penalty points on your licence (excluding DR, DD, or IN endorsements)
• Comfortable with
manual handling and lifting bulky items
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and punctual in meeting delivery schedules
• Provision of appropriate
PPE (high-visibility clothing and safety boots) is required
Pay & Benefits
•
£15.00 per hour PAYE | £18.00 per hour PAYE via Umbrella
•
Minimum of eight hours guaranteed pay per shift
•
Monday to Friday day shifts
•
Free on-site parking
