Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a leading home delivery operation based in Hatfield. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and customer-focused team offering ongoing work, weekly pay, and full training and support.

Pay Rates

- £18.38 per hour

- £27.56 per hour after 48 hours worked

- Weekly PAYE pay

- Holiday pay accrued separately

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you'll work alongside a dedicated Driver's Mate, delivering products directly to customers' homes. You'll be the face of the business, providing a professional, friendly, and reliable service while ensuring every delivery is completed safely and efficiently.

This is a physically demanding role involving manual handling, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy being active and working as part of a team.

Your Responsibilities

- Completing multi-drop home deliveries

- Delivering exceptional customer service at every stop

- Working closely with your Driver's Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently

- Making customer pre-delivery calls where required

- Completing Proof of Delivery (POD) accurately

- Safely unloading goods into customers' homes

- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring legal compliance

- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on schedule

Shift Information

- Flexible shift patterns available

- Weekend working may be required

- This is not a standard Monday to Friday role, so flexibility is essential

- Ongoing, full-time work with regular shifts

What We're Looking For

- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card

- Digital Tachograph Card

- No DR, CD or IN endorsements

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Reliable, punctual, and well organised

- Ability to successfully complete theory and practical driving assessments

- Previous multi-drop or home delivery experience is beneficial but not essential
