Summary

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic – Oldbury

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a busy fleet workshop in Oldbury. Applicants must have previous HGV workshop experience, hold a recognised Level 3 heavy vehicle qualification, a valid manual driving licence and have the right to work in the UK.

Location: Oldbury, West Midlands, B69

Salary: around £40,000 with free hgv driver training and training to master tech level to your salary plus sign on bonus of £1500

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-5 | 42 hours per week

HGV Technician Role

- Service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and vehicle system faults

- Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance

- Prepare HGVs and commercial vehicles for annual MOT testing

- Complete repairs to required safety and quality standards

- Accurately complete workshop and maintenance documentation

- Maintain high workshop and Health & Safety standards

HGV Technician Requirements

- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent recognised heavy vehicle technical qualification

- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician or LCV Technician

- Strong servicing, repair and fault-finding experience

- Full UK, Irish or EU Class C or CE manual driving licence

- Right to work in the UK

- Ability to successfully complete the required pre-employment screening process
