Summary
We have nobody on WoofWalk in Oxford and would like three walkers: one for North Oxford and Summertown, one for the east around Headington and Cowley, one for the south and west.
WoofWalk is a UK app where dog owners book a local walker. You work for yourself through it. You set your prices and your hours, you choose which bookings to take, and owners book and pay through the app with the money paid out to you. We are not your employer; there is no wage and no guaranteed bookings.
Oxford rates from public sitter listings: about £16 for a half-hour solo walk, group walks £15 to £18, home visits around £14.50 and home boarding about £38 a night. These are other walkers' prices; yours are yours to set.
Port Meadow, Shotover Country Park, South Park and Cutteslowe are the main walking grounds. Oxford's dog control order bars anyone from having more than four dogs at once, so a group walk is four at most.
Costs: nothing to join. No commission for the first 14 days, then 15% of each booking, and 10% for life once five of your clients have joined through you. Tax, National Insurance and insurance: all yours to handle.
Term-time students, postgraduates and anyone with a bike and free mornings do well here. Over 18.
