Summary

WoofWalk has no walker in Cardiff yet. One person from Wales has started our set-up guide and nobody has finished, so this is a genuine first-in opportunity: we want three walkers in the city, one each for the north around Heath and Whitchurch, the centre and Roath, and the bay side.

WoofWalk is a UK app where dog owners book a nearby walker. Walkers are self-employed. You decide what to charge for a walk, a home visit or overnight sitting, you choose your days and hours, and owners book and pay through the app with the money paid out to you. We are not your employer, there is no wage and no guaranteed bookings.

Local rates from public listings: £11 to £17 for a half-hour solo walk, £18 to £24 for an hour, group walks around £15, drop-in visits £10 to £16. Your prices are yours.

Bute Park, Roath Park, Sophia Gardens and Heath Park are the main walking grounds. Roath Park itself requires leads, but the playing fields next to it allow off-lead.

Costs: nothing to join. First 14 days without commission, then 15% of each booking, and 10% for life once five clients have signed up through you. Tax, National Insurance and insurance are yours to look after.
