Summary
Liverpool is a clean slate for WoofWalk: nobody here is listed yet. We want three walkers to be first, ideally one for the south end around Sefton Park, one for the north end and one for the Wirral side of the river.
WoofWalk is a booking app for dog owners across the UK. Walkers on it are self-employed and run their own small business. You set what a walk, a drop-in visit or overnight sitting costs, you set your hours, owners book you through the app and the payment is paid out to you. We do not employ you, pay you a wage or guarantee bookings.
Liverpool is a cheaper market than most: public sitter listings put a half-hour walk at £8 to £16, around £10 typically, a home visit at about £11.50 and home boarding around £30 a night. Those are other people's prices; what you charge is up to you.
Sefton Park, Otterspool, Newsham Park, Walton Hall Park and Croxteth are the main grounds. The city's dog control order bans dogs from children's playgrounds and enclosed sports pitches, with fines, so walks stay to the open parks.
Nothing to pay to list. No commission for your first 14 days, then 15% of each booking, which drops to 10% for life once five clients have joined through you. You cover your own tax, National Insurance and insurance.
