Summary
We have nobody walking for WoofWalk in Bristol yet, and no Bristol applicant so far. The city is open, and we want three walkers to start it off.
What WoofWalk is: a UK app where dog owners book a local person to walk, visit or sit their dog. What it is not: an employer. You are self-employed. You set your own prices, you say which days and hours you are available, owners nearby book you through the app and pay through it, and the money is paid out to you. You turn down anything you do not want. No wage, no minimum hours, no guaranteed income.
Bristol prices on public sitter sites run from about £8 to £30 for a half-hour walk, with most around £12; a drop-in visit around £12 and home boarding around £35 a night. Your price is yours; a tool on our start page shows what you would keep.
Ashton Court, Blaise Castle, the Downs and Snuff Mills are the obvious walking grounds. Bristol's dog control order keeps dogs out of fenced play areas, and we ask walkers to follow it.
Joining is free. No commission for 14 days, then 15% of each booking, falling to 10% for good once five clients have joined through you. You handle your own tax, National Insurance and insurance.
If you already walk your own dog every day, this fits round it. Over 18.
