Your new company

I'm currently working with a respected housing organisation in Glasgow that is looking to appoint an experienced Income / Rent Officer to join their established housing team on a temporary 8-week contract initially.This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in rent arrears recovery and income management who is passionate about supporting tenants while maximising rental income and sustaining tenancies.

Your new role

Managing a caseload of current and former tenant rent accounts

Taking proactive action to prevent and reduce rent arrears

Negotiating affordable repayment arrangements with tenants

Providing advice and support around housing costs and welfare benefits

Liaising with external agencies and support organisations

Preparing cases for legal action where required

Monitoring income performance and maintaining accurate records

Working closely with colleagues to sustain tenancies and achieve positive outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in an Income Officer, Rent Officer or Housing Officer role with a strong income management focus

Experience working within a Housing Association or Local Authority

Strong knowledge of rent arrears recovery processes and tenancy legislation

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently
