Summary

Salary: £36,000 per year

Location: Central Scotland, with travel across Scotland and the wider UK as required

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00

Employment: Full-time, permanent

Probation: 3 months

BB Water Solutions is continuing to grow following recent contract wins and we are looking to strengthen our directly employed technical team with an experienced plumber.

This role would suit a capable plumber who is comfortable working independently across commercial and industrial sites and is interested in developing further within the water hygiene and Legionella compliance sector.

Previous water hygiene or Legionella experience would be highly advantageous, although strong plumbing experience and the right attitude are equally important.

The Role

You will carry out a wide range of plumbing and water hygiene remedial works across client sites, including:

Removal of redundant pipework and dead legs

Alterations to hot and cold water systems

Cold water storage tank modifications and replacement works

TMV installation, replacement and remedial works

Calorifier and hot water system works

Installation and alteration of valves, drains and associated fittings

Pipework insulation and minor system improvements

Remedial works identified through Legionella risk assessments

Fault finding and general plumbing repairs

Supporting larger water hygiene and plumbing projects where required

Completing site records and communicating clearly with customers

What We Are Looking For

Essential:

Experienced plumber with a strong practical background

Full UK driving licence

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Professional and confident when working on customer sites

Willingness to travel as required

Desirable:

Previous water hygiene or Legionella remedial experience

Gas qualifications

Experience within commercial, healthcare, FM or industrial environments

Experience with cold water storage tanks, TMVs, calorifiers and commercial plumbing systems

Knowledge of Legionella control requirements
