Summary

Account Handler (Cover4 New Business Team)

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Uphold the Core Values of the Company at all times

2. Respond to enquiries received in a courteous, confident and helpful manner

3. Work as an effective member of the team

4. Work within Cover4 service standards

5. Refer cases to your line manager where they are beyond your competency level or ability

6. Control your own diary system ensuring all items are followed up by the due dates

7. Ensure full notes of conversations and actions are made on the diary system of all contact with customers and other third parties

8. Obtain quotations using the quotation system or by referring the case to an authorised person for the following class(es) of insurance business:

 Touring Caravan insurance

 Static Caravan insurance

 Residential Let property

 Unoccupied property

9. Communicate quotations, advising the most appropriate in terms of price and cover to meet the customer’s needs

10. If accepted, ensure that written confirmation is issued providing full details of cover, the appropriate statement of fact, policy schedule, policy wording and other documentation required to comply with FCA regulation

11. Check that all documentation is accurate, complete and sent in a reasonable timescale

12. Administer any mid-term adjustments
