Summary

Job Description

The Huntly Children and Families Team consists of one team manager, eight social workers, three family support workers and two children’s support coordinators. We are a supportive and friendly group, many of whom have been part of the Huntly team for several years.

We are looking for a motivated individual who prioritises relationship-based work and who values collaborative. working to join their team.

Provide a professional field social work services to children, families, individuals and groups within current legislation, policies and procedures of Aberdeenshire Council through working in partnership with service users, other professionals and agencies within the wider community.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
